Why did I choose the blog title "Time outs and Tootsie Rolls?"

First of all I was looking for something catchy. Second, I connect to time outs and to tootsie rolls. Time outs: well we all need to take a time out every once in awhile - kids, teachers, moms. Tootsie Rolls: I learned in a workshop on Differentiated Instruction presented by LeAnn Nickelsen that I am a "Tootsie Roll." What does that mean? I like to have a good time while learning! That's me! Don't present things in a boring way, you will quickly lose me. Lastly, it represents me as a teacher and a mom! When in doubt take a time out and eat a tootsie roll!
